Hike to Manoa Falls – Adventure in Honolulu

A highlight from my trip to Hawaii last week was the hike to Manoa Falls.

Manoa Falls Trail is a beautiful hike surrounded by greener than green landscaping and a flowing waterfall once you reach the end or the top I should say. There is a river that runs through the entire hike, in which the water begins at the waterfall. The trail/hike is no longer than 30 minutes and is a breath of fresh air…

{For all of my adrenaline junkies, this is an easy trail so I suggest jumping into the waterfall nearly naked if you are seeking a rush which doesn’t sound half bad. As long as the water is warm of course, which was not the case when I arrived. Brr!}

The waterfall was an amazing site to see, but the unforgettable part about this experience was the mere fact that it rained the entire time. It was a true rainforest experience. As for my personality, I am an aware woman and find beauty in the simplest of things as well as enjoy the smaller things in life. A few examples during this hike was noticing the raindrops on the leaves and the smell of nature while it was raining. Just imagine feeling a sense of nostalgia along with serenity and you will know exactly what I was feeling. That is the amazing feeling about vacations and exploring..

I realized that Manoa Falls is a landmark for Oahu. Not only do the locals rave about it, but it turns out that it is quite popular among travelers as well. I guess I should of done my research before flying over… Another popular aspect of Manoa Falls is scenes from Jurassic Park and the TV show LOST were filmed on this trail which is pretty amazing if you ask me. To make it even more exciting, is when I arrived to the beginning of the trail, there was a group of individuals that were filming the landscapes.

Who knows what other films or scenes this beautiful location will be in next…

{If you plan to visit Manoa Falls, be sure to wear appropriate attire such as sneakers or boots along with clothes that you can easily move in. Although this is an easy hike, there are certain parts that require a little more foot work, balance, and coordination}

Even through the clouds, this was an impeccable sight to see. My goal is to visit more exotic places around the world to see the beauty of the world we live in. What are your favorite places to visit?

    I love this type of scenery and even though I’ve never been to a rain forest, I can tell by this I would fall in love with it as much as I did with evergreen forests. Lovely post <3

    P.s.I really enjoy your blog and I've nominated you for the Liebster Award. I have a post about it you can check out on my blog 🙂 xx

      So happy we were able to connect! Manoa Falls was beautiful. I can’t stop thinking about it. I wish it was sunny when I was visiting as I would of gotten in the waterfall but since it rained majority of the time, the water was quite chilly!
