Warby Parker’s Home Try-On Lookbook & Review

Warby Parker is an eyewear brand providing a wide variety of colors and frames in both prescription and non-prescription eyeglasses and sunglasses. If you caught my Warby Parker Spring 2016 Collection launch post, I mentioned that I had ordered five pairs of frames (3 sunglasses and 2 glasses) from their Home Try-On program to provide you with an in-depth review of the frames and brand. As promised, here are my favorites from the selections I chose along with my thoughts!

{Redwood Ash – $95}

I adore the shape of these sunglasses! As I have a round face, I look better in more square and rectangular frames. During the selection process I was a little skeptical about the color, but once I put them on, I fell in love. The color blends perfectly with my skin-tone as well as the color of my hair. As for as style goes, these are great!

However, the quality of the sunglasses seems to be a bit stiff to my liking. It may be that this is a brand new pair and needs to be broken in a bit, but I am very particular when it comes to glasses. When the glasses seem to be a bit stiff, the comfort-level wearing the glasses is affected. This is not a determining factor for me not to get the glasses, but something I am keeping in mind for sure.

As for over purpose of the sunglasses, it did a great job keeping out what sun was out the day I took these photos and might I add the sky looked beautiful wearing these! Some people don’t like the high-definition filter your eyes get through some sunglasses, but I however, enjoy it.

{Jet Black – $95}

The Piper is my favorite pair from my selection. I adore how they incorporated a slight cat eye towards the top corners of the frames without going over the top. I have been searching for a new pair of sunglasses that are a bit more feminine than what I am use to wearing, but still minimal for everyday use. If you are on the same search, id say keep these in mind.

Taking what I mentioned previously in consideration, the quality of these felt like any other pair of sunglasses. They had the right amount of bend in the arms while the frame was strong. As the lenses are dark black, it provided great coverage for the eyes while not appearing too dark, and allowed the eyes to see naturally.

These frames are nice quality at an affordable price, and can bring out the glam-ista in all of us!

{Whiskey Tortoise – $145}

Every blogger with special (&& beautiful) eyes, needs a pair of unique prescription glasses. Unfortunately, I do not have perfect eyesight but all the more fun to add extra pizzazz to my appearance. I mainly wear contacts as I find them to be more comfortable, but I have been needing a new pair of prescription glasses in my most recent prescription.

(The only glasses I own to this day are in a prescription from over 8 years ago! Eek!)

Personally, these frames are quite big for my liking but I do think they look great for occasional use. I am mainly searching for a nice frame to wear around the house, out running errands and work/blogging as I am on the computer 24/7… These suit my facial features nicely and the photos came out great wearing them, but they are not exactly what I am looking for.

The quality of these frames resemble Piper, which is important to consider as prescription glasses require the most attention. Some people can’t see without them!

Overall, my experience using the Warby Home Try-On program was a success! 3 out of the 5 frames I adore visually, and 2 out of the 5 have fantastic quality. For those of you who need prescription glasses, you can get the sunglasses in your prescription. To learn more about the frames, click the frame images below!

5 Frames, 5 Days… Why not give it a try!?

Much Love,
